USAID & TRADE HUB Workshop at the Andrew Young Center for Entrepreneurship in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in partnership with the Trade Hub, organized a full day workshop for 35 Ivorian entrepreneurs who have businesses and are ready for export. The sectors/industries targeted were food products and textile only. Representatives from the Trade Hub gave a presentation on their new co-investment fund available for the participants while USAID discussed the requirements to qualify for AGOA and access to U.S. market. The participants were able to ask practical questions to help them move to the next step in expanding their businesses. Some are already exporting to the U.S. and were looking to see how they could benefit from the co-investment fund.
