U.S. Embassy Finances Project to Promote Cultural Peace in Schools

A ceremony marking the completion of the project “Citizen Participation, Community Integration and the Cultural Peace in Schools” was held at the U.S. Embassy on March 10.  Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Terence McCulley said that the project was a success. The project was implemented by the Center for the Promotion of Human Rights and Development in Africa (CPHDA), an NGO with the financial support from the Democracy and Human Rights Fund through the U.S. Agency for International Development. During the program, CPHDA organized awareness campaign in secondary and high schools to explain to the students the importance of civic education in a society.
