Social Media Development Training Helps Support Radio Synergie Stations

The 4-day workshop on the development of social media platforms brought together social media coordinators from 45 radio stations scattered across the country. The purpose of this training, funded by Public Affairs Section (PAS) Abidjan, was to enable proximity radios to learn how to utilize social media to increase their listenership and be able to cross post important media programs. During the training, participants learned to create social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, and Instagram. The workshop was organized as part of Radio Synergie, a project created by the Embassy to allow community radio stations to produce and share content. The workshop was conducted by trainers from Internews’ office in Abidjan. The project received support from the government of Côte d’Ivoire.
