Security Message for U.S. Citizens: Holiday Security Reminder

The U.S. Embassy strongly encourages U.S. citizens maintain a high level of vigilance during the holiday season.  At this time of the year, you may expect to see increases in robberies and petty crimes as well as banditry on travels upcountry.

Review your personal security plans; remain aware of your surroundings, including local events; and monitor local news stations for updates.  Maintain a high level of vigilance and take appropriate steps to enhance your personal security.
