Embassy Volunteers Respond to Dr. King’s Call to Serve

For the second year running, a team of volunteers from the Embassy joined with the International Community School of Abidjan (ICSA) to participate in a ‘Day of Service’ in to honor the memory and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Volunteers accompanied ICSA staff to the Little Baobob school in the Abobo neighborhood of Abidjan on Monday January 18, 2016 to perform service activities and respond to Dr. King’s call to service: “Everybody can be great.  Because anybody can serve.”  In this spirit of service and brotherhood, the volunteers did several activities with the students of the Little Baobob school, including story time, dance lessons and tree planting.
