Information Officer Travis Murphy visited Alpha Blondy FM, a proximity radio station launched by Ivoirian reggae star, Alpha Blondy on March 11. During the meeting, Blondy told Murphy that the purpose of the radio station is to promote culture, peace, social cohesion and mutual understanding among the Ivoirian people; objectives that conform to the Mission’s goals in Cote d’Ivoire. For more than a year, the Public Affairs Section (PAS) has been collaborating with proximity and religious radio stations to promote Mission priorities through a variety of live and recorded programing. The visit to this radio station was an opportunity for PAS to create a new partnership that will help promote the goals of the United States’ Government in Côte d’Ivoire.
