Public Affairs Section (PAS) Abidjan invited more than 100 guests, including members of civil society, journalists, and students to participate in the Democracy In Progress (DIP) Radio program on the topic “The question of identity in Côte d’Ivoire ahead of the 2020 election.” Held in partnership with Radio de La Paix, the forum featured IVLP alumnae Nathalie Kouakou and Geoffroy-Julien Kouao, a political analyst. The question of identity has long been a sensitive subject in Cote d’Ivoire, especially in advance of elections. The debate was an opportunity for the participants to reflect on the issue. This event supports the Mission’s objective of helping Côte d’Ivoire increase inclusive political participation and strengthen democratic processes.
