In Cote d’Ivoire, commercial matters are handled by the Political and Economic Section (U.S. Department of State) in coordination with the regional commercial office in Accra, Ghana.  U.S. businesses and investors may schedule a briefing on economic and political conditions, as well as the current business climate in Cote d’Ivoire with our Political and Economic staff at the U.S. Embassy in Abidjan. The U.S. Embassy also offers a range of services to help U.S. companies do business in Cote d’Ivoire. Services will be provided on a case by case basis and as is possible given current Embassy staffing and resource levels. Our most popular services are listed below; additional services may be available upon request.

  • International Partner Search: The International Partner Search (IPS) is designed to help companies explore foreign markets and find local partners.  The IPS identifies prescreened local companies that are interested in working with your company.
  • The Gold-Key-Service (GKS) matches U.S. companies with potential clients or partners after consultation with the company using the service.
  • The Single Company Promotion (SCP) helps U.S. companies new or already established to reach out to new clients.  The SCP can take make different forms, such as a conference or presentation.  The U.S. client chooses the service.
  • The International Company Profile (ICP) (Due-diligence) The ICP service looks at the suitability of a local company to serve as a partner.

Trade Disputes and Advocacy: U.S. Embassy Abidjan provides support for companies bidding for a government or semi-government project in Cote d’Ivoire.
