From March 18 to March 19, 2019
Africa Regional Services trainer Eduardo Cue spent two days with the communications officers of various government ministries, working with them on communications techniques and strategies. The trainer emphasized the importance of rapid and consistent communication with citizens, as well as with journalists. The sessions also included practical exercises such as conducting and analyzing mock interviews before the larger group. The participants were active in their participation and discussed the similarities and differences in their roles as government spokespeople, while also hearing from U.S. Embassy spokesperson and Public Affairs Officer Dan Langenkamp on his experiences in the U.S. government.
